Product Groupings

Product Grouping -Unioni di Prodotto- are among the more important innovations introduced into the tourist system in Emilia Romagna. Altogether, there are four groupings and they represent the apex of tourist organization in the Emilia-Romagna area.

The most important characteristic of the Unioni di Prodotto is that they are a kind of contact point between public touristic promotion and the private sector. Within them, various organisations such as Local authorities, Chambers of Commerce, societies, local and regional operative organisms, "Product Clubs", co-operatives tourist enterprises and organisations, all work together.

The main goal of the Unioni di Prodotto is to produce projects aimed at the development of each tourist sector, projects which the region co-finances through Tourism Promotion Agency Services (APT Servizi).
