The Region

The Region is the institution responsible for setting up tourism policies.

The Region plans and coordinates tourism activities and enterprises, promotes the image of tourism possibilities in the territory, the communication and marketing of tourism, also through special projects or initiatives.

Other tasks of the Region are the following: offering promotion, development of the regional tourist information system as web information for operators and tourists, as well as statistics from the same field, set-up of the Regional Observatory on Tourism in order to have an accurate knowledge of the tourist markets.

The Region cooperates with local authorities and with other public and private concerns in the field.
