Monkey's Park Adventure - Fanano (MO)

History, nature and adventure come together in Monkey’s Park Adventure in Fanano, a town which is mostly located in the Regional Park of the High Apennines of Modena.  A splendid area from a nature point of view and full of history.

The historical “Gothic Line” passed through here – the German outposts and residuals of the war are still visible – but also the medieval via Romea, which led European pilgrims to Rome.

In Fanano, you can visit the original outdoor Park-Museum of contemporary sculptures, which has 234 works in stone on display, all of which were created in town during the biennial event of the International Symposium and the Visitor’s Center of the regional park which collects art and equipment of the ancient mountain culture of this region.

At Monkey’s Park Adventure, open from June to September and upon request for groups, there are many attractions for very young children: long slides along the park, a climbing wall, Monkey’s (the park mascot) inflatable house – and sandboxes.

There are six courses in the park, plus the “Practice” one, an ideal place to practice for young and old.

Children can have fun on the courses “Groundhog”, “Squirrel”, and “Deer”: with swings, net tubes, beams with handles, nets for climbing, zip lines and the awesome Tarzan jump.  They are easy courses, created for small children, but also for parents who do not like to take risks.

For adults and children there are three courses to try.  Along the course “Wild Boar – Green” you will have to maneuver suspended ropes, swings and a rope bridge. 

The course “Wolf - Blue” is of medium difficulty, but it has some difficult parts: suspended barrels, walkways, the zip line, the net, and Burma bridges.

Then there is the course “Falcon – Red”, with suspended cables, log bridges, zip lines and Burma swings.

Besides an initial briefing, the instructors also guarantee total assistance, intervening when it is necessary.  After the challenge, you can relax at the park café or organize a fun picnic in the green area outfitted with benches and wooden tables.
