Cerreto Laghi (RE)

The town of Cerreto Laghi is located around a very beautiful lake at the foot of Monte Nuda which gives its name to this town (“laghi” means lakes in Italian) in the Apennines near Reggio Emilia.

It is the most popular resort in the Reggio Emilia area: 28 km of slopes, 5 lifts (including a 3-seater chair lift that goes rapidly up to 1980 meters on Monte La Nuda), 13 km dedicated to cross-country skiing, a slope qualified for international competitions, a snowboarding park and a kids’ park.

The olympic champion of slalom Giuliano Razzoli from Villa Minozzo, a town in the Reggio Emilia Apennines, is the best representative of these mountains. "Il Razzo" (the rocket) learned to ski on these slopes and frequently comes back here to train.

Ski pass prices 2012-2013. The day pass for adults is 29 euro, 21 euro for kids under 14, and 23 euro for seniors.

New this year: there is a new promotion for the upcoming season; 12 euro on Mondays, and for groups that come Monday to Friday, an all inclusive day costs just 20 euro (access to lifts, lunch on the slopes, and a one hour lesson included).

Not just skiing.  At Cerreto, Palaghiaccio, the skating rink, is open and is a meeting point where people of all ages gather.
