Piane di Mocogno (MO)

You can also ski at night in Piane di Mocogno, 75 km from Modena. This resort is ideal for those who, besides skiing, want to relax. With its 40 km of cross-country ski tracks, it is also a top destination for cross-country skiers.

Besides skiing, this resort offers a lot of fun activities, such as snow tubing, and a renovated park for kids.

New this year. For the 2011/2012 season, the artificial snow has been increased on the Duca slope with two new snow guns. And not only that: in the Centro Fondo (cross-country center) the 5 km ring trail has been improved, thanks to the trail being widened. The large, 200 meter magic carpet lift inside a heated tunnel is up and running great. This is the only lift of this kind in all of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.  It can take 2,000 people per hour and will carry skiers and snowboarders up the slopes all winter. In the summer it is used for mountain biking, grass skiing and tubing.

Not just skiing. Among the events this season is the night slalom and the regional cross-country skiing championship.
