ATTENTION! This event has endedThis year marks the eighth edition of VIE Scena Contemporanea Festival, an annual appointment focused on the contemporary theatrical scene, trying to involve both well known artists as well as the emerging ones.
The latest innovations in dance and music are also part of the program. Organized by Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Modena, this important international festival draws artists from every part of the world in Modena, Carpi, Vignola, Castelfranco Emilia and Rubiera.
The modern and intellectually lively atmosphere of the Festival appeals a wide and varied public, both from Italy and abroad.
VIE has its headquarters at Teatro delle Passioni, in Modena. In addition to being a theatrical location, this place perfectly embodies that open minded and thought-provoking atmosphere that characterizes the Festival. Teatro delle Passioni is, in fact, a space for cultural exchange among artists, journalists and public.
VIE offers its audience a favored and, more importantly, critical point of view of the contemporary artistic scene. The festival is a valuable chance to discover interesting novelties and bring highly topical issues into discussion.

After the earthquake of last ten days, Vie decides to continue the show, confirming all events at Teatro delle Passioni. Some other spectacle has been cancelled, see website for further information.
Cancelled:
Indigenous by Barokthegreat that would have been played at Teatro Comunale of Modena on Thursday 31 May and on Friday 1 June at 7.00 pm.
PARADOXES #8 by ORTHOGRAPHE /PRESTO!? that would have been played on Thursday 31 May and on Friday 1 June
Amleto by Danio Manfredini that would have been played on Friday 1 June and Saturday 2 June at Teatro Storchi of Modena.
On Thursday 31 May the re-run of Them by Amaroui and Burner has been anticipated at 7.30 pm, at Vignola the Patriotic Hypermarket by Dino Mustafic is scheduled the same day at 9.30 pm at Teatro Ermanno Fabbri. A shuttle will take the spectators at the end of the show.
At Teatro delle Passioni two extra events have been sheduled: on Thurday 31 May after the show "Them" a dj set, the second on Friday 1 June at 11.30 pm with the group I Sostituti, cover band of WHO, followed by "I figli dei fiori di pesco", cover band of Lucio Battisti. Those events are free entrance.
