ATTENTION! This event has endedThis event promotes the city, its art treasures and its food products and involves the historical center in the atmosphere of the fair.
The event features product tasting, temporary stores in the heart of the city, a charity event at the Tardini stadium: a soccer competition between teams whose players come from the food industry and Mediaset Stars, the earnings will be given to projects and solidarity initiatives of associations in Parma.
Workshops, exhibitions, meetings, and performances will take place where art and food meet, the exhibition "A thousand pictures for the history of Italy" at the Governor's palace will be open on the days 5 and 6 May until 11.00pm, special opening on Monday 7 May from 10.00am to 11.00pm with possibility of guided tours.
Of particular interest is the list of guests who will attend the event “Calici Stellati”, organized by the Academia Barilla as part of CibusInCittà: Gianni Gandino, an expert teacher of bread making and milling; Donato Lanati, an internationally famous oenologist, will reveal the secrets of wine tasting as never before seen, 49 great regional wines from Sauvignon to Spumanti, from Pinot Nero to Sangiovese, and Nebbiolo, to Southern Wines and dessert wines; Luca Marchini (Chef of the restaurant l’Erba del Re in Modena) and Enrico Bartolini (Chef of the restaurant Devero di Cavenago Brianza) will demonstrate their interpretations of some traditional Italian recipes; Davide Oldani, Chef of the restaurant D'O in S. Piestro all’Olmo (and the creator of Pop Italian Cooking), and the godfather of this event.
The public will be able to meet the chefs, get to know original recipes and wines, and participate in tastings.
