Porcini mushroom fair

Albareto (PR)

A unique fair revolving for 3 days around the mouthwatering Porcino mushroom, bringing foodies from all over Italy to Albareto.

Good food but also music and fun, stands selling mushrooms of all kinds and shapes, markets, old tractors exhibition, 4th Off road get together, fairground, cooking classes with Alma (Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana) and special menus in local restaurants will welcome visitors in the little town of the Parma Appennines.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12
6pm Inauguration of the 19th National Fair of the Porcini Mushroom of Albareto and opening of food and wine stands
6.30pm Palafungo: “Aperitif with the Porcini” and tasting of Emiliani and Piemontesi wines
7pm Via A. Gotelli: Exhibition of Musicians and Flag-wavers “Auree Fenici” of Pontremoli (MS)
7.30pm Piazzale A. Moro: Fishing for wine

10pm Pavilion B: Live Music with “Little Taver and His Crazy Alligators” & Dj set

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13
9am Piazzale A. Moro – Pavilion A: Opening of food and wine stands and market
9am Piazza G. Micheli: Opening of the antiques and crafts market
10am Area sport 1: A.S.D. “Il branco” event with: cinema seminar, communication and interaction between humans and dogs, non-competitive agility and search exercises (for more information see the official website)
10.30am Palafungo: Pastry making class with the pastry chef Valerio Ugolotti in collaboration with the Circolo Culturale L’albero: the Albareto desert “Il bosco incantato”
11.00am Piazzale A. Moro: Fishing for wine
11.00am Pavilion D: Opening of the art exhibition
11.00am Pavilion D: “Rural Fairs” convention, new tourism and territorial strategies
11.30am Pavilion E: Opening of the mycologic show
2.30pm Palafungo: Wine and food event with the students of the food and wine and hospitality course of Bedonia (Parma)
3pm Pavilion D: Inauguration of the photography exhibition “Albareto and its surrounding towns” in collaboration with the FotoClub Valtaro
3.30pm Area sport 2: Mini tennis lesson for kids – free (you can sign up on-site)

from January to June and from September to December open on Wednesday from 10.00am to 12.00pm, Friday from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 4.30pm to 6.30pm; in July and August from Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 4.30pm to 7.30pm, Sunday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Weekend timetable:
