ATTENTION! This event has endedIn May Ravenna Festival will present a new event, a very special occasion, the eleventh edition of the European Youth Music Festival, entitled ‘Allegromosso’. This is the first time this event has been organized in Italy and is promoted by the European Musicschool Union and the AIdSM (Italian Association of Music Schools) together with the Emilia-Romagna Region.
The 11th edition of the European Youth Music Festival is an event that will bring more than 6000 young musicians together from 26 European countries to Italy for the first time. It will be inaugurated with a concert by the Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini (significantly integrated by other young instrumentalists from European youth orchestras) directed by Wayne Marshall, with a programme that ranges from Rossini to John Williams.
The concert of 17 May, reserved for those young people who are taking part in Allegromosso, will be transmitted live on a maxiscreen in the city’s Giardini Pubblici (Public Garden).
