On Saturday night the festival opens with folk music and dancing whilst on Sunday morning, celebrations continue with the benediction of the animals and the slaughtering of the pigs. All day long there will be food and wine stands and popular music and dancing will delight visitors.
This tasty event is a good opportunity to discover the medieval town of Verucchio, home of the Malatesta nobles, on the hills near Rimini not far from the sea and San Marino.
