A month of events and the New Year's Eve celebrations - 6th edition

From 1st December 2016 to 6th January 2017 those who come to Rimini will discover something more: the world's longest New Year’s celebrations.
Every corner of the city is transformed into an outdoor stage for a month of music, art, performances and events for all ages.
The Christmas lights and markets, the traditional nativity scenes and those made up of sand, light up the atmosphere of the most awaited holidays giving the whole city a new welcoming aspect.
The program of the sixth edition of the longest New Year's in the world begins on December 1 and will continue until January 8: a party lasting more than a month.
The highlight will be on December 31st, as usual, with the many New Year’s Eve celebrations spread throughout the city, starting with the big concert in Fellini square, just a few steps away from the sea, and then on to the many festivities in the Old Town.

- New Year's
Francesco Renga will be the star of the live concert that will ring in the new year in piazzale Fellini. Then the heart of the party will move downtown: an ideal ‘street New Year’ will take visitors from Marina Centro to the heart of the city, spreading music in the theaters, squares, streets and cultural locations of the city from piazza Cavour and piazza Malatesta, to Teatro Galli and the Complesso degli Agostiniani. Guest star of the events in the historic centre, Skin, world icon of the pop-rock music, who will performe as a dj for the longest night of the year.
- Nativity Scenes
This Christmas tradition will be revived on the beach in Rimini with the giant sand Nativities in Marina Centro, on the public beach of Piazzale Boscovich, next to the ice skating ring, and in Torre Pedrera, at the bathing establishments 64 and 65.
- Exhibitions
Until December 11, Rimini will be 'invaded' by the most loved little building blocks, Legos, with the exhibition ‘Mattoncini, il piacere di costruire’(Legos, the pleasure of building) - with works such as the reproduction of the facade of the Tempio Malatestiano and other famous buildings, and a Homer Simpson 1.30 meters tall made with 14,000 pieces.
From December 18 to January 29, the Foyer of the Teatro Galli ‘Rimini negli anni ‘20’ (Rimini in the 1920s).
