Great Music for Emilia
In Emilia-Romagna the solidarity competition is non-stop among artists performing in benefit concerts for those hit hardest by the earthquake this past spring.
Almost 150,000 tickets have been sold for the concert Italia Loves Emilia which on September 22 will bring 13 great Italian musicians to Campovolo di Reggio Emilia: Biagio Antonacci, Claudio Baglioni, Elisa, Tiziano Ferro, Giorgia, Lorenzo Jovanotti, Ligabue, Litfiba, Fiorella Mannoia, Negramaro, Nomadi, Renato Zero and Zucchero.
The earnings will be donated to the rebuilding of one or more schools.
The city of Ferrara was hit particularly hard by the earthquake, and in a tribute to this city where many of his projects were created, the maestro Claudio Abbado has decided to show his solidarity on Sunday, September 23 by inaugurating the season of Ferrara Musica with the “Extraordinary concert for the city of Ferrara”.
The Lucerne Festival Orchestra will be conducted by Abbado, with the exceptional soloist Maurizio Pollini.
All proceeds will be given to the Teatro Comunale of Ferrara and to the rebuilding of other monuments and city institutions hit by the earthquake.
