Agazzano
Province:
Piacenza (25 km)
Tourist Area
Settlement of Roman origins, unchanged up to the half of the 20th century, Agazzano is characterised by a large market square, strictly connected to the castle, around which the borough developed.
The fortress and the 15th century Anguissola Scotti castle are worth a visit; the castle was transformed into a villa during the 18th century. Landmarks nearby are ‘Madonna del Pilastrello’ sanctuary, the private Boffalora castle and Bastardina castle (headquarters of the golf club and villa for reception)s. They may be seen from outside, as many other castles in this territory, which characterise the landscape of the province of Piacenza.
The area is part of Gourmet Food and Wine Trail of ‘Colli Piacentini’. The Golf Club is very famous.
