Il Bardello - Parco del Delta Po

The Bassa del Bardello is the initial part of a long depression known as the "Bassa del Pirotolo" of historic origin, located to the north of the San Vitale pinewood and ending in the Buca del Cavedone.

The observation tower of Valle Mandriole is the only high point of the area from which it is possible to observe a beautiful panorama over the heronries of Valle Mandriole and Punta Alberete. All kinds of species can be seen and the place is frequented by nature lovers or those simply interested in the environment of Ravenna.

Parking can also be found at the Scolo Rivalone, before arriving at Cà Chiavichino.

Some of the main natural features of the Bardello are the freshwater swamp grassland with interesting panoramic views, rare flora and fauna with protected species such as pond turtles, grebes, waders, grey herons and the presence of water crowfoot.
