Marina di Ravenna

Marina di Ravenna Beach
Province:  Ravenna (11 km)
Tourist Area
Nature and the Apennines Adriatic Coast
Marina di Ravenna was founded in the 1930s and therefore is the most ancient beach resort on the Ravenna coast. Today it is a dynamic and trendy town, with lots of  beach clubs, bath establishments and well-organised hotels run by experienced managers, which in the summer attract both families and young people. Surrounded by a thriving coast pinewood, Marina di Ravenna is most appreciated especially for its traditional fish dishes.

The small town houses the tourist harbour of Ravenna, called Marinara, providing approximately 1100 berths for boats up to 40m, which is protected by two 2.8 km long outer breakwaters that guarantees its accessibility even under bad weather conditions. This makes of Marina di Ravenna a renowned regatta destination for sailors.

At about 12 miles from the coast there is an important fish restocking area called Paguro, created over a former drilling platform and hosting many rare animal and plant species. This protection area is a must for divers and researchers and is closely linked to the unique National Museum of Underwater Activities.
