Music Italy Show e The JamBo

BolognaFiere is ready to kick off the first maxi-weekend of music and sports, the longest in Europe, offering two unique events at the same time, which will take visitors to the heart of music and sports.


From June 14 to 16, Music Italy Show and The JamBo will offer 100 hours of music and adrenaline, three non stop days of sounds, sports, fun and entertainment.


Music Italy Show 13 JPGIt all begins with Music Italy Show, Friday at 10.00, the Music and Making Music Expo which will present an entire musical universe: instruments, producers, sellers, technicians, from discography to the press, schools, institutions, names such as Aramini, Eko Group, Furcht & C. S.p.a. Pianoforti, Ketron, Master Music, M. Casale Bauer, MGB Hall Leonard, Musictech, Mogar Music, Peavey Italia, Proel, Sisme, Viscount,Yamaha Musica Italia will all be present in the expo area of the pavilions 21 and 22.


For listening pleasure, outside the pavilions, 3 stages for live performances have been set up and more than 140 shows are on schedule, with more than 80 high quality musicians such as Stadio, Blastema, Bononia Sound Machine, Power Francer, Tystnaden Carlo Guaitoli, Tosin Abasin, Il Cile, I Rio, Marco Ligabue and many more.


This year the portico area will host a sort of Auditorium dedicated to story telling and meetings with artists with Gianni Morandi as the guest star of this event who will interview his singer/songwriter friends. Besides Gianni, also taking the stage of the auditorium are Charlie Rapino, Maurizio Coruzzi Platinette, Gile Bae, Dodi Battaglia, Bruno Sconocchia, Federico Fiumani, Luca Beatrice and many more who have chosen to share their knowledge and experience to help young talents.


There will also be numerous meetings dedicated to taking a closer look at issues in the music world, from copyrighting to instrument seminars open to the public, all in the Congressional Center rooms.


The Jambo urban summer festival JPGBefore the sun goes down on MIS, The JamBo – Urban Summer Festival will start at 3.00 pm, bringing a young audience back to BolognaFiere, but also those who are not so young but united in their passion for action sports and electronic music.


The JamBo is the first ever freestyle festival in Italy, the most important event of its kind in Europe: 8 different sports, together for the first time: fmx (motocross freestyle), skateboarding, freestyle football and basketball, parkour, wakeboarding and surfing, along with urban dance and electronic dance music with the most famous international DJs.


Personalities such as Major Lazer, Chase & Status, Zeds Dead, 2manydjs, Armand Van Helden, Dizzee Rascal, Riva Starr and Rudimental will perform for the first time inside the Fiera, which has been transformed for the occasion with hardcore set ups: two big pools for surfing and wakeboarding with artificial waves, tracks for acrobatic cross, and "urban" obstacles for parkour.


From the deejay console to the skateboarding vert, for three days of adrenaline filled fun, there will be 160 athletes involved: true icons of action sports for the first time in Italy, such as the skater Pedro Barros, freestyle motocross stars Josh Sheehan and Petr Pilat of the Red Bull team, and the Scandinavians Breddas, Jeremia, Mattias and Benjamin Hoppe, three brothers bound together by the same invincible passion for wakeboarding. They are professional athletes capable of breathtaking tricks, who will come to Bologna from 24 different and far off countries such as Guadeloupe, Norway, Australia, Brazil, brought together by freestyle.


Starting in the afternoon and continuing late into the night, when the lights are turned down on the beach and courts of beach tennis and beach volleyball set up at the center of the indoor arena, the spotlight will be put on pavilion 36, renamed for the occasion “The JamBO Star Stage” ready to welcome thousands of fans of electronic music, from dubstep to rap.
