The Oasis of Punte Alberete is a flooded forest in a suggestive landscape composed of a hygrophilous forest, under water meadowlands, ponds, typical flora and fauna of swamps areas.
The flora is protected and there are very rare bird nests including those of the penduline tit, the spoonbill, the glossy ibis, the kingfisher, the little egret and herons.
You arrive at the oasis taking the SS Romea 309 road from Ravenna in the direction of Venezia. After 8 km you find a sign on your left with directions to this place, which is only a few hundred metres away.
It is open all year, and you can see the oasis by following a fixed route, which can only be entered on foot. In front of the oasis you find the entrance to the ancient pinewood forest of San Vitale.
