Rimini Terme

Rimini Terme is located directly on the beach in Rimini.  Its history includes that of a city well-known in the world thanks to its seawater: way back in 1873 when Paolo Mantegazza, physiologist, hygienist and writer, took over the direction of the first Spa Establishment in Rimini with a marine hydrotherapy wing, tourists could incorporate advantages for their health into their vacation.

Very fine sand, sun and marine water transform Rimini into a huge spa where you can take care of yourself, rest, have fun and dream.  Riminiterme embodies this age old history adding a modern touch: relaxation, emotions and events for total wellness, without leaving the cultural aspects of the city and the areas around it, full of history, art, food and wine, out.

Started in the 1970s and almost completely remodeled in 2000, Riminiterme is today a wellness center that focuses on the benefits of seawater, with a spa area, a wellness center, recreational-sports activities and the bathing establishment Blue Beach. 

The Acqua Miramare, part of Riminiterme, contains bicarbonates, sodium chloride, iodine, bromide, and alkaline, and is pumped directly from the “spring” located just a few hundred meters from the establishment.  After being filtered, it gets pumped into different areas to be used.

Making up the therapeutic area are the inhalation Department, for respiratory and hearing problems, the Physical-kinesthetic therapy area complete with swimming pool and Center of Functional Reeducation outfitted with the most up-to-date rehabilitation technology, different muds and swimming pools for the osteo-muscular system, hydro-massages and vascular treatments for the circulatory system.

The modern Wellness Center offers numerous services and treatments.  Sauna, steam room, a wide range of massages (lympho-draining, relaxing, shiatsu, ayurvedic, abhyanga, shirodhara and anti-cellulite), applications of esthetic muds and marine poultices make up the essence of the treatments done here, maintaining the fundamental characteristic of being “thalassotherapeutic”, that is to say, based on the use of marine elements.

Riminiterme’s thermal pool with seawater, with a Bio-marine area in the shape of a seashell, is kept at a temperature of 34°C, more or less.  Waterfalls, seats, jets, hydro-massages, and blowers on the bottom of the pool combine to treat the whole body, all of this, coupled with the view of the beach, make Riminiterme a very pleasing place to take care of oneself.

After doing some of the recreational-sport activities organized in the gym or swimming pool such as fitness, cardiofitness and aquagym, the Wellness Center is an oasis of pleasing relaxation.

In the summer, thanks to the establishment’s being located on the shore, all of this can be combined with traditional beach activities, with walks and swimming in the ocean.
