The ice rinks for skating and fun - 2017
When the temperature drops, in Emilia Romagna the fun begins! The big squares and meeting points in the cities will be transformed into sheets of ice to allow us to do our best to “glide” into the new year. The ice skating rinks invite you to skate on them with the whole family or your loved ones, to dance as a couple, with magical pirouettes or exhilarating falls!
In Ferrara, next to the traditional ice skating rink in Piazza Verdi, ongoing until January 29, a real Decathlon Ice Park in Piazza XXIV Maggio awaits you: a 70 meter ice slope, of which 60 meters are downhill and there is a curve which has never been created before, and next to it there is a small rink for children and accompanying adults. All around it is a food area, themed markets, exhibitions, and presentations of new ski products, as well as a big lit up Christmas tree. Until January 15.
Are you not ready for Christmas to be over yet? At the enchanting village Winter Wonderland, also in Ferrara, the magic continues on the weekends of January 14-15 and 21-22! At the biggest covered fun park in Italy, there are many opportunities to have fun and play for the whole family, including an ice skating rink, of course, for adults and children.
Moving on to Reggio Emilia, in the very centrally located Piazza della Vittoria, the city of the Tricolore awaits you every day on the 600 square meter ice skating rink ready to welcome all those who love pirouettes. Until January 29.
At Piacenza On Ice, ice skating fans can do their favorite sport thanks to a special structure set up outside the Palazzetto dello Sport in via Alberici, very close to historic downtown. Until January 29.
Along the Riviera, the bigger and renovated rink in Cervia has been set up in the heart of Piazza Garibaldi and will be open until February 28.
At the Pearl of the Adriatic until January 15 the ice skating rink is located right in the center of the main pedestrian avenue.
No less impressive is the Rimini Christmas Square, which is part of the big event the longest New Year's Eve in the world. It is an evocative winter village in Piazza Cavour and Arco d'Augusto where, until January 15, a more than 600 square meter ice rink will be surrounded by a food area with avant-garde designer food and entertainment and even a relaxation area with a seaside feel to represent the double spirit of this city. The square will be transformed into a village that involves an area of more than 1200 square meters, thus becoming a crossroads for meetings and fun for everyone, but also for trends.
Ice not only downtown but also at the seaside: in fact there will be the Ice Village, the big, covered, heated 2200 square meter winter village in the lovely setting of the public beach in Piazzale Boscovich. On the two covered ice rinks, you can have fun doing jumps and pirouettes or take your first steps in skates. 750 square meters of rink are dedicated to beginners and another bigger one for more experienced skaters. At the Piazza degli Spettacoli there will be many performances the whole time the village is open, until January 29.
