Tourist information for Emilia Romagna visitors about the earthquake

Released on 30th of October

Two earthquakes struck part of central Italy (Lazio, Umbria and Marche regions) in the evening, on Wednesday 26 and in the morning on Sunday 30, October 2016. Tremors were also felt in Rome. ‎

No buildings nor people ‎were affected in The Emilia-Romagna Region and its Adriatic coast. We would like to reassure visitors and people travelling to the region that ‎there are currently no danger or restricted access to monuments or touristic areas.

For more information we would advise British visitors to check the latest travel advice to Italy on the Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s website.
