The Po Delta Park in Emilia-Romagna is one of the most important wetlands in Europe with ecological and landscape features including the languid atmosphere that makes it one of a kind, a true paradise for naturalists, biologists, birdwatchers and people who like to take it slow. Its surface stretches out over more than 128,494.80 acres, and it is considered among the most productive areas with the highest biodiversity among the provinces of Ferrara and Ravenna.
The Po River flows for more than 100 kilometers in the area around Piacenza, passing through extraordinary places with particular atmospheres, cultures and natural environments, and delineating the western boarder of Emilia Romagna. It unites history and landscape as it runs through the region before emptying out into the Adriatic Sea, crossing through the lands around Reggio Emilia, full of exquisite little towns.
Along the slopes of Monte Comero, the complex geological history of the Alta Valle del Savio dug out three ravines which today are known as Lungo Lake, Pontini Lake and Acquapartita Lake. The three mirrors of water are relaxing places, and a true paradise for sport fishing fans.
