For Ferragosto, the midsummer holiday in Emilia Romagna will last more than a week, from Friday, August 12 to Sunday August 20 and will welcome guests with cultural events, concerts and music festivals, excursions and guided tours, town fairs, festivals, markets and many exhibitions.

Music will be the star again at this year’s Ferragosto celebrations.

We get started in Romagna, which hosts many important events starting with the Emilia Romagna Festival, the biggest summer festival of the region which offers 41 events until September 10, located throughout the provinces of Bologna, Ferrara, Forlì-Cesena and Ravenna and nearby areas, and, as always, in exceptional places dedicated to the discovery of nature, architectonic traditions and culture. "Building Bridges”, focusing on the importance of cultural bridges, which are today more than ever occasions to build dialogue, exchange and mutual understanding, is the theme if this year’s edition. On August 17 (at 9pm, Tredozio, Fc, Palazzo Fantini) Luis Bacalov will delight audiences with his prestigious piano concert of tango pieces by great Argentinian and Spanish composers.

Performing in the heart of Italian summer nightlife are the artists with hits on the charts all year long, who are ready to put on breathtaking live shows. On August 20 taking the stage are Emis Killa, Two Fingerz and Ghali. The live shows of Radio Deejay will not just be in Piazzale Roma but also at Aquafan, while the talent show Deejay on Stage will allow talented new artists to perform on this stage in Riccione.
