Little Apple


Typical Ferrara peasant recipe. It was made at the beginning of the winter, after the harvest of enough apple seeds, preferably pippin seeds.

Ingredients: 1 cup of tea from apple seeds, 0,25 liters of 90° alcohol, 300 g of water, 1 lemon rind, 4 spoonfuls of sugar.

Preparation: in a hermetically sealed jar, put the apple seeds with the alcohol and the lemon rind, remembering to shake it every once in a while. After 30 days, prepare a syrup with the sugar and water and after letting it cool off, add it to the previous mixture. Filter, bottle, and let the liquor sit for at least 3 months in a cool, dark place.
